Name: Jamaari but goes by Jamie, and has adopted the surname Ryder

Occupation: Security Guard

Age: 625 (appears 25ish)

Species: Manticore (Man Eater)

- The characteristics that I based Jamie on are bolded in the quoted descriptions:

The manticore (Early Middle Persian Martyaxwar) is a persian legendary creature similar to the Egyptian sphinx. It has the body of a red lion, a human head with three rows of sharp teeth (like a shark), and a trumpet-like voice. Other aspects of the creature vary from story to story. It may be horned, winged, or both. The tail is that of either a dragon or a scorpion, and it may shoot poisonous spines to either paralyze or kill its victims. Easily angered and jealous, Jamie is not exactly what people would call desirable to have around. He almost always sports a cold, intimidating stare and a bitter attitude. Why? Well...because he thinks you're judging him. Although he will not show it, on the inside Jamie is still a troubled little boy that has self-worth issues. He likes to put on a strong front and claim that he doesn't give a shit about what people think, but that is in fact his greatest weakness.

Although he may give off negative vibes to most everyone he meets, Jamie is responsible and keeps his word for whatever he promises. He has very strong protective instincts and anybody who reminds him of his deceased friend triggers a soft spot in him.

Likes: Humans (only as food), meat, fur, his scarf, hot weather

Dislikes: Humans (because they're stupid), snakes, clothes, people touching his tail

Additional Facts:

- He's actually kinda tiny for a manticore.

- The lines on either side of his lips are not scars...that's the rest of his mouth. It can stretch reeaally huge and nomnom people whole with his three rows of sharp teeth. 8)

- Don't expect him to maintain a good posture (like the above) for very long. Although he's had several hundred years to work on it, he still occasionally slips back into being the slouchy old beast he is.

- He doesn't really sit...he kind of squats? It is a more natural and comfortable way for him to sit, due to both his posture and inconveniently large tail.

- Although Jamie finds clothing ridiculously uncomfortable, he tries his best to conform to the dresscode regulations of The Clover Club. He has yet to find shoes to fit his lion feet though...

- Due to the traumatic experience Jamie had as a child, he has developed Ophidiophobia (fear of snakes) and is afraid of pretty much anything that could potentially strangle him. His red scarf is the only exception to this because it is all he has left of his friend - he is never seen without it.

Preferred Role Play methods: Skype, notes, dA chat and comments <-- in order of preference =v=d I personally prefer para/lit roleplay because it's nice to be able to fit in juicy descriptions...but I'm cool with doing script if you're more comfortable with that style. 8)
